Before you start, ensure that your smartphone meets the Pokémon GO Plus system requirements.
A red light on the Pokémon GO Plus device can mean a number of things depending on what you are doing:
- When Pokémon GO Plus flashes red and vibrates several times, this indicates that the connection with your smartphone has been lost. This can happen if you are too far away from your smartphone. To reconnect, go into the app and locate the darkened Pokémon GO Plus icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Tap this icon and then press the button on your Pokémon GO Plus. The device will reconnect to your game.
- A single flashing red light and vibration could indicate that your Pokémon GO Plus is still connected to your smartphone, but your phone has lost network connectivity. Moving your phone to a location with better network connectivity should correct this issue.
- Pokémon GO Plus will also flash red if it fails to capture a Pokémon, or if some other problem exists (such as no available Poké Balls to throw, your bag is full, etc.).
