[IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL APPLICANTS]
Failure to complete the instructions below will result in a temporary suspension from applying to the Professor Program.
- The background check should only be taken by the individual who is the owner of the Pokémon Trainer Club account.
- Your legal name and date of birth on your account must match your government ID.
- The information on your background check must match the information on your Pokémon Trainer Club account per Pokémon's Terms of Use. If the information does not match, please contact Customer Support, here.

- Once you open the link, you have 7 days to complete the application. This includes filling out and uploading all necessary documentation.
- The Consent/Authorization form is a global form used for all applicants; however, you are only giving your consent to what is minimally required to complete a background check in your specific area. Not all items listed on the consent form will be required in your area.
- The name you enter on the electronic application must be an exact match to your government ID, including all middle names and/or initials.
- Copies of your government ID must be clear, legible, uncut, and must include both sides of the ID. No portion of the image can be cropped or cut off, or the ID will not be accepted.
- Your government ID must be valid and cannot be expired.
- All dates must be written in the MM/DD/YYYY
- You may be asked for multiple forms of ID. Please provide all requested information.
- If you are missing information on your background check, you may receive an email from First Advantage requesting additional information.
- If you have trouble completing your background check, please reach out to First Advantage here. Click on the Chat icon to interact with a First Advantage representative for assistance.
