Pokémon GO Plus System Requirements and Compatibility
To play, smartphones must have the Pokémon GO app installed. Smartphone requirements are listed below.

- Jailbroken devices are not supported

For an optimal Pokémon GO experience, we recommend playing on a smartphone with 2GB or more of RAM. If your smartphone frequently crashes or lags while playing Pokémon GO, try the following troubleshooting steps.
- Close other open applications while you’re playing Pokémon GO
- Make sure you’re running the latest operating system (e.g., Android or iOS) available for your smartphone
Note about beta OSes: Functionality is not guaranteed for devices running beta versions of iOS or Android.

How do I pair my Pokémon GO Plus with my smartphone?
- Open the Pokémon GO app.
- In Map view, tap the Main Menu button.
- At the top right, tap the Settings button.
- Tap Connected Devices and Services.
- Press the button on the Pokémon GO Plus to make it discoverable, then tap Accessory Devices.
- Tap your Pokémon GO Plus on the Available Devices list. It will vibrate when connected.
Can I use one Pokémon GO Plus on multiple smartphones or multiple Pokémon GO Plus devices on one smartphone?
You can only connect one Pokémon GO Plus device to your smartphone. Pokémon GO Plus pairs with a single smartphone. It can be moved to a compatible new smartphone, but it cannot work with multiple smartphones at the same time.
Can I move my Pokémon GO Plus to another smartphone?
You can move your Pokémon GO Plus device to any compatible smartphone. After pairing the device with the new smartphone, it will no longer communicate with your old one. It is recommended that you first install the Pokémon GO app on the new smartphone before moving the Pokémon GO Plus.
Is my Pokémon GO Plus water- or damage-resistant? If it is exposed to water, dropped, or damaged, can it be repaired?
The Pokémon GO Plus is not water- or damage-resistant. We cannot repair or exchange devices that have been damaged by liquids, dropped, or sustained other damage.
Can I use my Pokémon GO Plus on an airplane?
Please turn off your smartphone or set it to airplane mode (which may have a different name depending on your smartphone) in areas where signals from smartphones are prohibited, such as hospitals and airplanes. When you do, wireless signals from your Pokémon GO Plus will automatically be turned off.
Please do not press the button on the Pokémon GO Plus while wireless signals are turned off.
Can I use my Pokémon GO Plus while traveling overseas?
The Pokémon GO Plus will function with a smartphone that fulfills the system requirements, but we cannot confirm if it is acceptable to use this device—which utilizes Bluetooth® signals—in countries or regions where it has not been released.
If I have a Pokémon GO Plus, do I still need a smartphone or device to play Pokémon GO?
Yes. You need a smartphone or device with the Pokémon GO app installed on it. Your Pokémon GO Plus must be connected to that smartphone to play Pokémon GO.
Can I purchase a replacement Pokémon GO Plus band?
We do not sell the Pokémon GO Plus band by itself.
Is the Pokémon GO Plus rechargeable or does it require batteries?
Pokémon GO Plus uses a single CR2032 coin-type battery. The device is not rechargeable, but the battery is replaceable.
