Why is parental consent required?
Following the update scheduled for October 22, 2026, parental consent for the gameplay of Pokémon Sleep will be required for applicable users who wish to continue playing the game or create a new account. This requirement has been introduced to provide a more secure gameplay environment.
The parental consent process will be completed through Kids Web Services (KWS). For detailed information regarding the consent process, please refer to the instructions displayed on the KWS website and the emails sent to you as part of the consent process.
For more information about Kids Web Services (KWS), or if you have any questions about KWS, please refer to the official KWS Support Site.
Important Notes
- When initiating the parental consent process, you will be required to enter the parent or guardian’s email address within Pokémon Sleep.
- As a part of the parental consent process, the parent or guardian must verify that they are an adult through the KWS service.
- Optionally, by obtaining separate parental consent in addition to the consent required for playing Pokémon Sleep, you can access the research community feature. Even if consent for this feature is not provided, Pokémon Sleep can still be enjoyed as usual.
Who should I contact if I have questions about the parental consent process?
Please contact KWS Support through the official KWS Support Site.
