Is my Apple Watch automatically tracking my sleep? (iOS)
If you want to automatically track your sleep, please enable sleep tracking on your Apple Watch. You may need to check your iPhone and Apple Watch settings to do so. Please make sure your device’s operating system is updated to the latest version. Note that Apple Watch only records periods of sleep that are four hours or longer.
The Apple Watch information shared here is for your convenience. Please see Apple’s official support page for the latest information.
Does sleep data need to be registered in the Health app? (iOS)
Sleep data must be synced from your Apple Watch to the Health app before it can be imported to Pokémon Sleep. It may take some time for sleep data from your Apple Watch to be shown in Health, so please wait for the data to appear in Health before syncing with Pokémon Sleep.
How do I make sure my sleep data counts in Pokémon Sleep? (iOS)
You can only import sleep data to Pokémon Sleep after linking Pokémon Sleep with the Health app. Any sleep data recorded prior to linking Health with Pokémon Sleep cannot be imported into Pokémon Sleep.
In Pokémon Sleep, sleep data recorded without sleep stages (i.e. awake, REM sleep, light sleep, deep sleep) cannot be used. Sleep data should be 90 minutes or more and contain sleep stages to be registered properly in Pokémon Sleep. To record sleep data that will result in sleep stages being recorded—and is therefore eligible to be imported into Pokémon Sleep—try the following steps.
Apple provides full instructions on setting up sleep tracking on Apple devices.
- Open the Health app on your iPhone and navigate to the sleep menu, or open the Sleep app on your Apple Watch.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set a “sleep schedule.” If you already set an alarm, you can change the settings by tapping the alarm icon.
- If you go to bed within the set “sleep schedule” time, put on your Apple Watch—fitting it snugly to your body—beforehand and your sleep will be measured automatically.
- If you go to bed outside of your set “sleep schedule,” we recommend that you manually turn on the “Sleep” Focus on your Apple Watch before going to bed.
Sleep data that is manually edited in the Health app cannot be imported into Pokémon Sleep. Be sure to sync with Pokémon Sleep without editing your sleep data.

Is sleep data registered in each data source app, such as Samsung Health and Fitbit? (Android)
Please confirm that your smartwatch is synced with the data source apps (such as Samsung Health and Fitbit) and then try syncing with Pokémon Sleep. It may take some time for sleep data from your smartwatch to be shown in the data source app, so please wait until after data is shown to sync with Pokémon Sleep.
Is the sleep data registered in Health Connect? (Android)
You can only import sleep data to Pokémon Sleep after linking Health Connect to a data source app (such as Samsung Health or Fitbit) and then linking Pokémon Sleep to Health Connect. Any sleep data recorded prior to linking Health Connect to Pokémon Sleep cannot be imported into Pokémon Sleep.
It may be necessary to prioritize each data source app at the top of Health Connect’s permission priorities.

Can I pair both a Pokémon GO Plus + and a smartwatch with Pokémon Sleep at the same time? Also, can I pair multiple smartwatches with Pokémon Sleep?
Yes. A Pokémon GO Plus + device and a smartwatch can both be paired with Pokémon Sleep, and both will stay paired to Pokémon Sleep at the same time. If both a Pokémon GO Plus + device and smartwatch are paired, you can choose which sleep data to import into Pokémon Sleep. If the sleep data overlaps, you will only be able to import data from one of the sources.
When importing sleep data from a smartwatch, you will need to select a data source, such as Apple Watch’s built-in sleep tracking, the Fitbit app, Samsung Health app, etc. Only sleep data from the selected data source will be imported.
Which smartwatches are compatible with Pokémon Sleep?
Please see the official Pokémon Sleep website for a list of compatible devices.
Can I use Pokémon Sleep with only my smartwatch?
No. Pokémon Sleep is not a smartwatch app and must be installed on your smart device.
Certain smartwatches will allow sleep data to be imported into Pokémon Sleep. Please see the official Pokémon Sleep website for more details.
If I change devices, will my paired smartwatch be unpaired?
If you reinstall the app—for example, during a device change—your current pairing with Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) will be removed. Once this pairing is removed, any sleep data that has not yet been synced with Pokémon Sleep cannot be synced later, even if you transfer your account to your new device.
After transferring your account, please pair your devices again. Only sleep data recorded after a device is paired can be synced.
I can’t import sleep data. Do I have to grant permissions in Health or Health Connect?
Pokémon Sleep requires permission to access Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
For iOS devices, go to Health > Browse tab > Sleep > Data Sources & Access > Turn on Pokémon Sleep in “Apps and services allowed to read data.”
For Android devices, Open Health Connect on your device, select Pokémon Sleep from “App permissions,” and turn on “Allow all.” If you are using an Android device, you will need to allow the data source app (Fitbit app, Samsung Health app, etc.) to access Health Connect.
