How to prepare
To use certain functions of Pokémon HOME, you will need a Nintendo Account and a Nintendo Network ID. These two types of accounts are required to utilize various services offered by Nintendo. They can be set up at no cost. For more details, please visit Nintendo’s home page.
Note: A Nintendo Switch Online membership (paid) is not required.
Connecting Pokémon Bank with Pokémon HOME
Note that a Premium Plan (paid) for Pokémon HOME is required.
Even if you don’t have a Nintendo 3DS, it is still possible to move Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME using only Pokémon HOME if the Nintendo Account tied to Pokémon HOME and the Nintendo Network ID tied to Pokémon Bank are linked. Please be aware that all Pokémon in Pokémon Bank will be moved at once in this case.
Note: Depending on your device or operating system, you may not be able to use certain features.

Moving Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch when you have a Nintendo 3DS
In Pokémon Bank:
1. Select Move Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from the main menu.
2. Select the Boxes you want to move to Pokémon HOME.
3. Once you’ve selected your Boxes, press the Y Button and then select Yes.
In Pokémon HOME:
4. Select Move from the main menu.
5. Select Begin Move and then Begin.
6. Select Ready!
7. Select Display to display a Moving Key.
In Pokémon Bank:
8. Within the three minutes before the Moving Key expires, enter the Moving Key that was displayed in Pokémon HOME. (Note: Codes never include the letter O, I, or Z.)
The move from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME will begin once the Moving Key has been correctly entered. You’ll be able to select how you’d like to deposit the Pokémon into your Pokémon HOME Boxes.
Moving Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME on mobile devices when you have a Nintendo 3DS
In Pokémon Bank:
1. Select Move Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from the main menu.
2. Select the Boxes you want to move to Pokémon HOME.
3. Once you’ve selected your Boxes, press the Y Button and then select Yes.
In Pokémon HOME:
4. Tap the button at the bottom of the screen to open the menu.
5. Select Options.
6. Select Move Pokémon.
7. Select Begin move! and then Begin.
8. Read through the warning message, then select Ready!
9. Select Display Moving Key! to display a Moving Key.
In Pokémon Bank:
10. Within the three minutes before the Moving Key expires, enter the Moving Key that was displayed in Pokémon HOME. (Note: Codes never include the letter O, I, or Z.)
The move from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME will begin once the Moving Key has been correctly entered. Pokémon that are moved to Pokémon HOME will be deposited in Pokémon HOME’s Boxes.
Moving Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch when you don’t have a Nintendo 3DS
1. Link the Nintendo Network ID that you used with Pokémon Bank to the Nintendo Account that you are using with Pokémon HOME.
2. Select Move from the main menu.
3. Select No Nintendo 3DS.
4. Select Check to make sure that the Nintendo Network ID used for Pokémon Bank is linked to the Nintendo Account associated with your Pokémon HOME account.
5. Once you’ve confirmed that you have the correct Nintendo Network ID and made sure that there’s no problem with beginning the move to Pokémon HOME, select Begin.
If the Nintendo Network ID was confirmed as being linked to your Nintendo Account, all the Pokémon in Pokémon Bank will be moved to Pokémon HOME.
Moving Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME on mobile devices when you don’t have a Nintendo 3DS
1. Link the Nintendo Network ID that you used with Pokémon Bank to the Nintendo Account that you are using with Pokémon HOME.
2. Tap the button at the bottom of the screen to open the menu.
3. Select Options.
4. Select Move Pokémon.
5. Select No Nintendo 3DS.
6. Select Continue to make sure that the Nintendo Network ID used for Pokémon Bank is linked to the Nintendo Account associated with your Pokémon HOME account.
7. Make sure that there’s no problem with beginning the move to Pokémon HOME, then select Begin.
The Pokémon that are moved over to Pokémon HOME will be deposited in Pokémon HOME’s Boxes.
Using Pokémon HOME to move Pokémon to and from Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!
The ability to connect to Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! is limited to the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME.
1. Select Pokémon from the main menu.
2. Select the game you want to connect to as well as which user’s save data to access.
3. Select the Pokémon you want to move and the Box to move them to. (Note: Pokémon that can’t be moved will have an icon displayed above them.)
4. Press the + Button when you’re done arranging Pokémon, and you can choose to save your changes or press the B Button to return to your Boxes.
